Utility Pole fire on Mount Pleasant Road

At 1010AM on Tuesday, June 4th, Station 49 was dispatched to the 6200 block of Mount Pleasant Road in Salisbury Township for a utility pole.\
\
Units arrived with a utility pole snapped off at ground level, with charged electrical lines burning limbs in a tree. A utility worker attempted to climb the pole for maintenance when the pole, which was rotten at the base, snapped and fell over taking the worker with it. Fortunately, it was a slow descent, and the worker was not injured.\
\
Station 49 stoodby until the power company could arrive and assume control of the situation.\
\
The 49 units cleared the scene at 1203PM.
