A visit with old Tanker 4-9

Today, during a leisurely drive through southern York County PA, I took a few minutes and stopped in at the Airville Fire Company (Station 55). The purpose of the stop was to take a few minutes and see our old 1984 tanker.\
\
The Tanker is a 1984 GMC Brigadier chassis, with a body made by Conestoga/LTI. It has a Waterous 500 GPM pump, and a 2000 gallon water tank. It is powered by a Detroit 6V-53T engine with a Spicer 5 speed manual transmission. She has some battle scars, and some marks of age, but for being a 29 year old truck, she appears in decent shape.\
\
White Horse bought the Tanker new in 1984, and utilized it until 1996, when the current Tanker was placed in service. At that time, White Horse sold it to Airville. Airville now currently has it listed for sale as well.\

Thank you Airville for allowing me to stop in and visit!
