Volunteer Information
What calls you to service?
Maybe it’s a family tradition carried through generations. Or a personal emergency that shaped who you are. Perhaps it was a meaningful interaction with our team – a safety demonstration at school, an inspiring community event, or seeing firefighters and EMS providers swiftly leave everyday activities to respond to danger. Whatever ignited it, you recognize it immediately. It’s that inner drive that calls you to sacrifice for others and serve your community. It’s the feeling of knowing that you can make a difference.
At White Horse you’re joining more than a fire and EMS company. You’re joining a family.
We are looking for community-minded individuals to serve as Firefighters, First Responders, Fire Police, and/or Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
We strive to make our company a welcoming and uplifting environment as we support each person’s experiences and empower everyone to reach their full potential.
Friendly, trustworthy, able-bodied and sound-minded men and women ages 16 and older are encouraged to join our team! Stop in during a division meeting to introduce yourself and complete an application.
EMT Meetings:

While active firefighting is physically demanding, other volunteer positions require more brain work.
This depends on what you plan to help with. For a dinner or event, your “training” could be as simple as a few minutes! For more in-depth positions, a few hours. Then for active firefighting and some administrative positions, there are a significant number of training hours required.
Yes, there are many ways to volunteer from property maintenance to administrative support or during a fundraising event.
These positions are invaluable to our team and the safety of our community.
