Tanker assist to Churchtown on a barn fire in Caernarvon Township

On the afternoon of Saturday, June 30th, many members were preparing to attend an annual July Fourth picnic. At 3:30PM, Tanker 4-9 was dispatched to assist the Caernarvon Fire Company of Churchtown on a working barn fire in the 2900 block of Best Road in Caernarvon Township.\
\
Responding units were advised of a 20’X50′ equipment shed on fire, with bales of hay inside. A smoke plume was visible for miles. Twin Valley Engine 69-2 was first arriving, and quickly knocked the fire down using Compressed Air Foam, and was supplied by Churchtown Tanker 3-4. Honey Brook Engine 33-1 drafted from the port-a-tank at the end of the driveway and supplied the scene with water that was being dumped into the tank by the tankers on the scene.\
\
Tanker 4-9 dumped one load of water into Goodville Tanker 3-6, and proceeded to a neighbors pond to be refilled by Twin Valley Engine 69-1, before being released to return to White Horse.\
