It is with deep regret that the Salisbury Township Fire Company #1 announces the passing of Mrs. Mary E. Howe. Mrs. Howe was a member of our Ladies Auxiliary.\

The following is Mrs. Howe’s obituary as it appeared in the Lancaster Newspapers:\

“Mary E. Howe\
\
\
Mary E. Howe, age 83 of Springville, PA passed away at her home on Saturday, June 23, 2007. She was the wife of the late Lester D. Howe who passed away June 5, 1986.\
\
Born in Springville, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Fryberger Spotts.\
\
She was a member of the Pequea Evangelical Congregational Church of Gap where she had 35 plus years of Sunday School perfect attendance and was a member of the Gleaners Class. She was a graduate of Salisbury High School class of 1941.\
\
Mary was a member of the White Horse Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and keeping a scrapbook of newspaper clippings.\
\
Surviving is a daughter: Mary Jane wife of Wilmer J. Stoltzfus of Kinzers, grandson; Todd husband of Cynthia Lacock Stoltzfus of Kinzers; 2 great grandchildren: Mariel & Victoria Stoltzfus. She was preceded in death by two siblings: Della Hilton and Walter Spotts.\

Funeral service will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 11 A.M. with a viewing from 10 A.M. until time of service. Pastors Greg Dimick and Melvin Stehr will be officiating. Interment will be in the Pequea E.C. Cemetery.\
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Pequea E.C. Church Building Fund, 5482 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap, PA 17527.”\
