One overturned at Howe’s Corner

At 12:46 AM on Sunday, June 3rd, Engine 4-9-1 and Ambulance 4-9 were dispatched for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Cains Road and Route 897 along with Medic 9 from Ephrata Community Hospital. This is also known to some locals as Howe’s Corner. \

Responding units were advised of 1 vehicle overturned, with everyone out of the vehicle. Engine 1 and the Ambulance arrived on the scene, and confirmed one vehicle overturned in the alfalfa field, and requested a second ambulance be dispatched to the scene. Christiana Ambulance 5-2-1 was dispatched. \

Ambulance 4-9 & Medic 9 and Ambulance 5-2-1 transported their respective patients to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. \

The Pennsylvania State Police investigated the incident, and Blank’s Towing from Gap arrived to tow the vehicle away. The last units cleared the scene at 1:42 AM.
