The year 2008 marks 25 years of service by Sky FlightCare and Medic 93. Both organizations are based at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville. SkyCare is an aeromedical advanced life support transport service, while Medic 93 is a land based advanced life support unit. Both units were organized in 1983. Station 4-9 Fire & EMS often works hand-in-hand with SkyCare and Medic 93 on incidents.\

On Friday, May 23, a celebratory cookout and display were held on the grounds of Brandywine Hospital as part of National EMS week. EMS providers were invited for an afternoon of food and fellowship. On display were SkyCare’s helicopter, Medic 93’s new Chevy Tahoe units, as well as a display of pictures from the past 25 years. Those in attendance were also given commemorative tee shirts.\
