Ambulance and Engine assist at Gap silo

At 6:57PM on Monday, June 6, Engine 4-9-1 and Ambulance 4-9 were dispatched to assist the Gap Fire Company (Station 4-2) at a farm in the 5200 block of Denlinger Road in Salisbury Township for a silo fire.\

Units arrived to find a silo full of hot hay. Crews from Gap, Kinzer, Christiana, and White Horse worked to investigate how much hay was involved, and to remove the hay from the silo by hand so that it could be bagged with no further fire danger to the silo or barn.\

Ambulance 4-9 cleared the scene at 12:10AM, Engine 4-9-1 cleared at 12:18AM, with the final 4-2 units clearing at 12:25AM.\
