The Salisbury Township Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization that relies on the generosity of our community to keep us operating. \
\
We do not receive any funding from dedicated fire or EMS taxes.\
\
All of our operating expenses, such as gas, electric & phone bills, general maintenance, and capital expenditures for things like fire apparatus and equipment are generated by donations. We realize that residents and businesses are often on a tight budget, and we are extremely appreciative of what you can donate to us. \

Our most urgent this year is to upgrade our radio system. You may have read that Lancaster County was changing radio systems. The system was to have been implemented by now, but due to problems with getting the new system up and running, it may be several years until the new system is ready for use. Our current system uses 1950’s technology, and sometimes we cannot communicate with the county dispatchers let alone amongst ourselves. This creates a very dangerous situation. We, along with several other area companies, are looking to implement a high-band repeater system that will allow us to communicate with ourselves and the county dispatchers. The cost and implementation is still being worked on, but we hope to have the system up and running later this year.\
