On the evening of April 26, crews loaded up and headed to the 800 block of Red Hill Road in Salisbury Township for water supply training. Recently, property containing a large pond was sold to a new owner, and the new owner gave the fire company permission to gain access to the pond that we did not have under the old owner.\
\
Upon arrival, Engine 4-9-1 dropped their 4-inch supply line at the pond and proceeded north on Red Hill Road to the south driveway of the Gospel Tabernacle, and proceeded into the parking area. \
\
Engine 4-9-2 stopped at the pond, and hooked the suction lines to a floating strainer and drafted water from the pond to Engine 4-9-1.\
\
Engine 4-9-1, through its deluge gun and a three inch line, then flowed the water into the woods, and a drainage ditch.\
\
Squad 4-9 assisted with traffic control and manpower.\
\
Thanks to all of the members whom came out on a wet and dreary evening to help test the pond. The pond, along with the pond at Red Hill and Meadville Roads, will be used as the primary water sources for any fires in the northeast section of Salisbury Township.\
