At 12:25 PM on August 28th, Ambulance 4-9 & Engine 4-9-1 were dispatched to Mount Vernon Road in the area of Cains Road in Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident.\

At 12:28 Deputy 4-9 (J. Beyer) arrived on location with a two vehicle accident, and upgraded the incident to a Vehicle Accident with Entrapment, and requested additional ambulances, due to multiple patients being involved. This added Engine 4-9-2, Christiana Ambulance 5-2-1, Parkesburg Fire Company Ambulance 28-2, Ephrata Hospital Medic 9, and Gap Fire Company Rescue 4-2 & Squad 4-2.\

Station 4-9 units arrived and initiated patient care and controlled hazards.\

Rescue 4-2 and Squad 4-2 arrived at 12:37 and began extrication. Extrication was finished at 12:47 PM. \

Ambulance 4-9 and Medic 9 transported their patient to a local Trauma Center.\
\
Ambulance 5-2-1 and Ambulance 28-2’s patients required no transport to the hospital, and they were placed available on the scene. \
\
The last Station 4-9 units cleared the scene at 1:15 PM.\
