Two Alarm Barn Fire in Leacock Township (updated)

At 5:56PM on Sunday, April 7, Station 49 was dispatched for both Engines and the Tanker as part of the second alarm assignment to assist Station 44 (Intercourse) on a working barn fire in the 3800 Block of Old Philadelphia Pike in Leacock Township. Units arrived with a 40X20 garage/barn well involved.\

Engine 49-1 arrived and supplied manpower and equipment to the fire scene.\
Engine 49-2 arrived and commenced water supply operations at the Thompson Drive pond.\
Tanker 49 arrived and shuttled water between Thompson Drive and the fireground.\
Station 49 Fire Police assisted in directing traffic on the roads surrounding the scene.\

The last 49 units cleared at 10:51PM, while the final 44 units cleared at 11:29PM.\
\
Thanks to Engine 33-5 (Honey Brook) for transferring to Station 49 and covering our area while we were at the fire.\
