At 10:43 PM on Friday, February 22, Engine 4-9-1 was dispatched to the 600 block of Red Hill Road in Salisbury Township for a vehicle overturned in the roadway. A snow-turning-into-ice storm earlier in the day had left many roads ice covered and slick.\

Deputy 4-9 (J. Beyer) arrived on the scene with one vehicle overturned, blocking the roadway. Fortunately, the SUV’s occupant was not injured. The SUV lost control, and impacted a utility pole and embankment, and then overturned. Engine 4-9-1 arrived and lit up the scene, and controlled hazards on the vehicle.\

Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police arrived and investigated the incident, while Blank’s Towing arrived to remove the vehicle.\
\
Fire Police closed Red Hill Road between Meadville and Northeimer Roads for the duration of the incident.\
\
The Station 4-9 units cleared the scene at 12:27 AM.
