Helping one of our own

On the morning of Saturday, May 9, several members met at the home of Mrs. Lil Parmer. Lil is the widow of Chief Emertius L. Ross Parmer, who passed away in December.\

Mrs. Parmer asked at a recent company business meeting if there were a few members whom would be willing to help put a new roof on her home if she would pay for the materials. As expected, several members were eager to help. Starting at 7AM, and working through out the morning, the home was stripped of its old roofing and had new tar paper, ridge venting and 30-year shingles installed, with the job completed by 1PM, with a brief break for lunch.\
