At 12:17 PM on Wednesday, June 9, Station 4-9 Fire & EMS, along with multiple mutual aid EMS units, were dispatched to the intersection of Old Philadelphia Pike (Route 340) and Cambridge Road in White Horse for a vehicle accident involving a horse & buggy and a pickup, with four subjects ejected from the buggy.\

Engine 4-9-1 arrived and controlled scene hazards and assisted the incoming EMS units with patient care.\
\
Engine 4-9-2 handled the landing zone at the Herb Benner farm on Old Philadelphia Pike\

All four occupants of the buggy were transported to a local trauma center. One was transported by Ambulance 4-9 & Medic 6 to the landing zone to be flown by SkyCare 1, one was transported by Ambulance 5-2-1 & Medic 6-12-10, one by Ambulance 4-3-1 & Medic 3, and the last one by Medic 6-12-8. The two occupants of the pickup were not injured, and Ambulance 4-3-2 & Ambulance 33-1 were canceled.\

Ambulance 3-8-2 was dispatched to transfer to Station 4-3 to cover the area, due to multiple ambulances on our incident and other incidents.\
\
Squad 4-9, Traffic 33, and Station 4-2 Fire Police closed Old Philadelphia Pike between White Horse Road and Springhead Road, and Cambridge Road from Old Philadelphia Pike to Springhead Road during the incident.\
\
The Pennsylvania State Police investigated the incident.\
\
The roadways were reopened at 1:28PM.
