At 11:22AM on Wednesday, July 28, Engine 4-9-1 and Squad 4-9 were dispatched to the intersection of Route 340 and 897 in the Salisbury Heights section of Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident standby.\

Lancaster County Communications advised the responding units of a farm tractor into a utility pole, with wires down in the roadway. Upon investigation, the accident was found on Route 897 one mile north of Route 340 in the village of Springville.\

Engine 4-9-1 cleared the scene, while Squad 4-9 and the Fire Police remained on the scene, closing Route 897 between Elam and Peters Roads while PPL Electric and Comcast Cable replaced the pole and rehung the utility lines\

The final 4-9 units cleared the scene at 3:03PM.
