Congrats to ECH-ALS on 30 years of service to Lancaster County

The officers and members of the Salisbury Township Fire Company and Ambulance wish to extend to the Ephrata Community Hospital’s Advanced Life Support Unit (ECH-ALS) congratulations on reaching its 30th anniversary of serving the residents and visitors to northeastern and eastern Lancaster County.\

ECH-ALS very frequently provides mutual aid to Station 4-9 Fire & EMS, and is staffed by paramedics and/or prehospital registered nurses.\
\
Medic 4 ran its first call on October 1, 1979; Medic 9 ran its first on January 3, 1995; and Medic 3 ran its first on February 2, 2006.\
\
Medic 4 responds from Ephrata Community Hospital in Ephrata. Medic 9 is stationed in New Holland, and Medic 3 is stationed in Leola. A fourth unit is kept in reserve status in case it is needed.
