At 2:29 PM on Saturday, September 29th, Station 4-9 was dispatched to the 5700 block of Paes Road, just south of the Welsh Mountain Community Center in East Earl Township for a brush fire. \

Upon the response of Engine 4-9-1, Lancaster County 911 relayed the additional information of a small brush fire. Within minutes, Fire Police Captain 4-9 (Sheaffer) arrived on the scene and confirmed the report, stating that Engine 4-9-1 could handle. With this information, Engine 4-9-2 and Tanker 4-9 were cancelled.\

Arriving units found a small fire in the woods and a trash fire in the middle of a construction site at the scene. Both fires were extinguished, and crews overhauled both fires to ensure that they would not re-ignite.\
