Condolences to Parkesburg Station 28

The Officers and Members of the Salisbury Township Fire Company #1 wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Parkesburg Fire Company (Station 28) and the Legieko family on the passing of Station 28 Past Deputy Chief and Life Member Fran Legieko.\

From Station 28’s website:\
“Our prayers are with Karen and Jason Legieko tonight after finding out that Husband, Father and long time fire company member Fran Legieko has gone to walk beside his son Johnny in the Kingdom of the Lord. In our busy lives we sometimes forget about or we put things off until tomorrow and then we find it’s too late to talk to or visit with someone who has fought a great battle most of his life. Fran Legieko was a good but hard mentor at the fire house and at work. He was always willing to teach, show and work with anyone to do things the best and most professional way. Fran worked his way up through the Company starting as a junior to a Firefighter/EMT and then into an Officer. Fran served as a Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief in our Company and his heart and sole went into every position. The entire family has been a big part of our Company over the years, Karen has served as an EMT and also Ambulance Captain as well as serving on the Executive Board. Jason and Johnny both joined the Company as juniors and worked there way to Firefighters/ EMT’s and Jason has also served the Company as an Officer. Franny has always been there for the Company and any member at any time. We did not always see eye to eye but we always got the job done the right way. Franny’s passion and dedication to the fire service and the Parkesburg Fire Company will be missed. Again our deepest sympathy and prayers are with the family.\

Funeral arrangements will be announced as they become available.”\
