Changes to Lancaster County Fire Station Dispatching

Effective August 1st 2012, at 8:30AM, a new numbering structure goes into effect throughout Lancaster County. Under the new system all fire stations who previously held a 3-digit station number have chosen, or been assigned a new 2-digit station number and all 3-digit numbers have been phased out. Also, all of the dashes in the county system have been eliminated. Chief officer titles have also been changed. \

White Horse is officially becoming Station 49 (Forty Nine). Below is a list of the changes which will effect us:\

Engine 4-9-1 is now Engine 49-1\
\
Engine 4-9-2 is now Engine 49-2\
\
Tanker 4-9 is now Tanker 49\
\
Squad 4-9 is now Squad 49-1\
\
Chief 4-9 is now Chief 49 \
\
Deputy 4-9 is now Deputy 49\
\
Chief 4-9-2 is now Assistant 49\
\
\
EMS units will be changed later this year.\
\
