Lancaster County Line of Duty Death

The Officers and Members of the Salisbury Township Fire Company wish to extend our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters at the Rothsville Fire Company (Station 2-10) on the sudden Line Of Duty death of Fire Police Officer Ed Steffy on Thursday morning, November 10, 2011.\

Fire Police Officer Steffy was operating at a vehicle accident in Warwick Township when he was struck ill. Unfortunately, he never recovered. He was in his 49th year with the company and had previously been an EMT and Station 2-10’s Assistant Fire Chief.\

Fire Police Officer Steffy is the second firefighter Line of Duty Death in Lancaster County in two months.\
