The month of July was a slow one for Station 4-9’s firefighters.\

Only 8 incidents were recorded for the month, only 4 of which required emergency responses, three of which occured on July 7th:\

*July 7th, a residential automatic fire alarm activation in the 5200 block of Paes Road in Salisbury Township.\
\
*July 7th, a two alarm house fire in the 5700 block of Cedar Glen Drive in the Glen Oaks section of Salisbury Township. Damage was estimated at $85,000.00 and was caused by a lightning strike. We were assisted by the Honey Brook, Churchtown, Goodville, Blue Ball, New Holland, Intercourse, Kinzer, and Gap Fire Companies, as well as Honey Brook EMS.\

*July 7th, a tree on fire in the 700 block of Gault Road in Salisbury Township. This fire occured at the same time as the house fire, and was handled by Gap, Christiana, and Gordonville fire companies.\

*July 20th, a motorcycle accident in the 6000 block of Wertztown Road in the Wertztown section of SalisburyTownship. We were assisted by Honey Brook EMS and Ephrata Hospital ALS.\
