Trash fire in White Horse

At 3:25PM on Saturday May 21, during our annual Chicken BBQ, Station 4-9 was dispatched to the 5500 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in White Horse for an unknown type fire. \

Lancaster County Communications advised of black smoke coming from a wooded area. Units arrived on the scene to find an illegal controlled burn to the rear of a farm.\
\
The fire was extinguished in accordance with Salisbury Township’s open burning ordinance.\
\
The final units cleared the scene at 3:45PM.
