At 5:39PM on Thursday, October 30, units from the Honey Brook Fire Company (Station 33), along with mutual aid, were dispatched in Honey Brook Township to the 4200 block of Hertzler Drive in the Tel Hai Retirement Community’s Lakeview Building for a building fire.\

Chester County 911 advised the responding units of smoke and fire bells on second floor. Assistant 33 (Klinger, Jr.) arrived on the scene at 5:46PM with the building evacuated. \

Ambulance 4-9 was dispatched at 6:02PM to assist. Upon arriving at the fire scene, Ambulance 4-9 stood by with the other EMS units at the Tel Hai Chapel, were the evacuated Lakeview residents were placed. Two residents were transported to local hospitals for evaluation. Fortunately 4-9’s services were not needed, and Ambulance 4-9 was released at 8:36PM\

The final 33 units cleared the scene at 9:02PM.\
