Trench Rescue

At 11:20AM on Thursday, October 28, Station 4-9, along with mutual aid, was dispatched to a construction site at a farm in the 5900 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in Salisbury Township for a trench rescue.\

Lancaster County 911 advised the responding units of a male who fell into a 6ft deep trench, and that he had been buried with dirt up to his chest and was unable to get out. \

Units arrived on the scene and the patient was removed from the ditch and flown by SkyCare 1 to a local trauma for treatment of his injuries. The remaining responding units, and those on standby, were then canceled.\
