Motorcycle Accident in Mount Pleasant

At 6:32PM on Friday, June 12, Station 4-9, along with Medic 9, were dispatched to the 400 block of Churchtown Road in the Mount Pleasant section of Salisbury Township for a motorcycle accident. Lancaster County 911 advised responding units of a motorcycle versus a utility pole, with the cyclist being thrown from the bike. \

Arriving units found the motorcyclist sitting on the road bank with minor injuries. Engine 4-9-1 and Squad 4-9 arrived and controlled scene hazards. Ambulance 4-9 arrived and assesed the injuries, and cancelled Medic 9 on the scene due to injuries not needing advanced life support. Ambulance 4-9 then transported the patient to a local hospital for treatment.\

Station 4-9 Fire Police closed Churchtown Road between Mount Pleasant and Spotts Roads during the incident.\

The final units cleared the scene at 7:03PM. The Pennsylvania State Police investigated the accident.\
