At 3 PM on Friday, March 14, Station 4-9 was dispatched to the 5500 block of Meadville Road in Salisbury Township for a woods fire.\

Responding units were advised of a fire that was spreading to the woods. Engine 4-9-1 arrived on the scene, confirming a working woods fire and deployed both the front bumper handline and a crosslay handline and quickly brought the fire under control. Deputy 4-9 (J. Beyer) arrived and assumed command.\
\
The services of Engine 4-9-2 and Tanker 4-9 were not needed, and both units were canceled enroute and returned to station.\

The final units cleared the scene at 3:26 PM\
