While on standby at Honey Brook Fire Company’s Fire Prevention Week Open House (see separate story), Engine 4-9-2, along with Blue Ball Engine 3-2-2 and Station 33, were dispatched to the 500 block of Pleasant View Road in Honey Brook Township for an electrical fire inside the dwelling. Engines 4-9-2, 3-2-2, 33-1, & 33-5 all quickly made the response along with Ambulance 33-2, Chief 33, and Assistant Chief 33.\

Engine 4-9-2 was the first arriving unit, with nothing evident on the outside. Upon further investigation, units found a fire in the fuse breaker box. Chief 33 (Jackson, Jr.) arrived and setup the “Pleasant View Command” The fire was extinguished, and electric to the residence was secured. Smoke was then ventilated from the residence, and a response was requested the scene from PPL Electric Company, as well as the Chester County Fire Marshall’s Office.\

When it was determined there was no longer any fire danger, Chief 33 released Engine 3-2-2 and the Station 33 units to return to Station 33, and rescinded Command to Assistant 33 (Jackson, Sr.), leaving Engine 4-9-2 on the scene with Assistant 33 to await PPL Electric and the Fire Marshalls. \

PPL Electric arrived and further secured the electric service, and then cleared the scene. Engine 4-9-2 was released by Assistant 33 to return to Station 33, Assistant 33 would await the Fire Marshalls, who would arrive shortly after Engine 4-9-2 cleared the scene.\
