Welsh Mountain woods fire

On the afternoon of Monday, March 18, Station 49 was dispatched to assist Station 39 (Garden Spot Fire Rescue) on a large woods fire at the intersection of Ranck and Sandmine Roads in East Earl Township
Units from Lancaster, Chester, and Berks County responded as well as units from DCNR.
The fire was under control in a few hours, with just under 16 acres of woods and underbrush burnt.
