On Saturday, October 15th, Squad 4-9 traveled to Leacock Township to help our neighbors, the Intercourse Fire Company (Station 4-4) celebrate both thier 100th Anniversary and the housing of thier New Engine 4-4-1.

Units from all over Eastern and Central Lancaster County and Western Chester County met at Station 4-4, and paraded through the village of Intercourse and surrounding Leacock Township.

After the parade, crews met back at the firehouse for a time of fellowship before the ceremonies.

The ceremonies covered the companies past 100 years and the construction and purchase of the new Engine. Remarks were given by company officers and local dignataries alike. Commemorative plaques were given out, as well as the winning trophies from the parade. Squad 4-9 was awarded the Judges Award trophy.

After the ceremonies, the new Engine 4-4-1 was housed by the members of Station 4-4.

We would like to congratulate the Intercourse Fire Company on both of thier milestones, and we wish them the best of luck in the future!

Station 4-9's Fire Police also assisted in the days events by helping to secure the parade route.
