The Salisbury Township Fire Company #1 is pleased to announce that we have placed in service our new MSA Airpacks and our new Bauer three station air cascade/compressor. These items replaced our 13 year old Scott airpacks, and our 25 year old air cascade system. The total cost for these items together was $126,000.00. The airpacks are used to give firefighters pure breathing air when in a smoky or hazardous breathing environment. The cascade/compressor is used to refill the air cylinders upon return to station. If cylinders need filled at an emergency scene, several local companies have units which can refill them at the scene. We would like to thank you for your very generous support, without which we would not have been able to purchase this new life saving equipment. |
