Landing Zone in White Horse

At 3:45PM on Friday, September 10, Ambulance 4-9 and Medic 6 were dispatched to the 5600 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in White Horse for an injured child. Upon arrival of EMS, it was deemed that the child's injuries warranted transport to a pediatric trauma center.

Aeromedical helicopter SkyCare1 was dispatched to assist, while Engine 4-9-1 was dispatched to set up a landing zone in a field across from Station 4-9 on White Horse Road.

The child was transported to the landing zone, and after care was transferred to the flight crew, the child was flown to the pediatric trauma center.

Units cleared the scene at 4:16PM.
