By Safety Officer Christopher Eno
February 16, 2010

At 5:40PM on Tuesday, February 16, Station 4-9 along with Rescue 4-2 (Gap) and Medic 6 (Lancaster EMS) were dispatched to the 100 block of Cambridge Road in Salisbury Township for a vehicle accident with entrapment.

Responding units were advised by Lancaster County 911 of a two vehicle accident involving an SUV and a station wagon, and that the driver of the station wagon was unable to get out of the vehicle.

Engine 4-9-1 arrived on the scene, advising that the vehicles were off the roadway and that there was no entrapment. Ambulance 4-9 arrived on the scene and assessed the patients who fortunately were not injured. Due to there being no entrapment, and no injuries, Rescue 4-2 and Medic 6 were canceled.

Engine 4-9-1 and Ambulance 4-9 cleared the scene, while Squad 4-9 remained on the scene for lighting.

The final units cleared the scene shortly before 7 PM.
