Engine 49-2 participates in Make-A-Wish Convoy

On Sunday, May 14, we were pleased to send Engine 49-2 to Lancaster to participate in the annual Make-A-Wish Mother's Day Convoy.
The convoy supports the local Make-A-Wish foundation, and draws trucks of all types from all over the region.
The convoy starts at the Burle Industries Complex on New Holland Avenue in Lancaster, travels west on Route 30 to north Route 222. At the Route 772 exit, the convoy travels west on 772 and then north on Route 272 into Akron and then State Street in Ephrata to Route 322. East on Route 322, the convoy travels back to Route 222 southbound to Route 30 and then back to New Holland Avenue at Burle...much to the delight of the Make-A-Wish kids and their families as well as the thousands of spectators who come to watch the convoy and see the trucks up close at Burle.
